We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Salon Manager to join our Sport Clips team. The ideal candidate should be a licensed hair stylist and have a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. As an Assistant Salon Manager, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations and development of team members (hair stylists) and of our salon as well as assist in creating a positive and welcoming environment for both our clients and our hair stylists team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    * Assist in the overall management and supervision of salon operations.
    * Provide guidance, support and development to hair stylists and coordinators.
    * Ensure exceptional customer service and client satisfaction.
    * Assist in recruiting, training, and onboarding new team members.
    * Collaborate with the Salon Manager to achieve revenue and sales goals.
    * Stay updated on industry trends and share knowledge with the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

    * A valid state cosmetology or barber license.
    * Previous leadership experience in a salon environment preferred.
    * Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
    * Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
    * Knowledge of applicable beauty products sold in store.
    * Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

    * Greet clients with a warm and welcoming attitude, ensuring they have a positive experience from the moment they walk in.
    * Answer phone calls and address client inquiries promptly and professionally.
    * Maintain a clean and organized reception area, including retail displays.
    * Handle financial transactions, including cash handling and processing credit card payments.
    * Assist in retail sales by providing product knowledge and recommendations to clients.
    * Monitor and maintain salon inventory, placing orders for supplies as needed.
    * Collaborate with the salon team to ensure a smooth flow of operations from the reception area to the cutting floor.
    * Complete secondary responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager such as vacuuming, cleaning stations, prepping stations, laundry, sanitation, and stocking.
    * Assist in marketing efforts, including local neighborhood marketing, social media updates and promotions.
    * Participate in Sport Clips training.

Managers are required to be FULL TIME and FLEXIBLE, complete Core Camp and MTC 1-5, and attend ALL Leadership meetings plus the National Huddle.  Duties include, but are not limited to: Scheduling, TM Counseling(verbal and written including maintenance of TM Reliability Logs), Maintaining Performance Boards daily and holding TMs accountable for entering their OWN Metrics at the start of each shift, Store CMS schedules, Performance Reviews, Success Check Readiness, Biweekly Timesheets, Store Equipment upkeep and troubleshooting, Inventory, Supplies, Interviewing/Hiring/Training of New Hires,  collaborating with and helping other Store Managers, and leading by example with respect to the TM Handbook and Sport Clips Values.
