JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Salon Manager to join our Sport Clips team. The ideal candidate must hold a valid Maryland cosmetology and/or barber license and have a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. As an Assistant Salon Manager, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations and development of team members (hair stylists/barbers), as well as assist in creating a positive and welcoming environment for both our clients and our team members.

    * Base pay is $16 - $27 per hour, based on performance. Additionally, stylist typically average $10/hour in tips. We also pay out 10% - 15% in retail commissions and many more incentives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    * Assist in the overall management and supervision of salon operations.
    * Provide guidance, support and development to hair stylists and coordinators.
    * Ensure exceptional customer service and client satisfaction.
    * Assist in recruiting, training, and onboarding new team members.
    * Collaborate with the Salon Manager to achieve revenue and sales goals.
    * Stay updated on industry trends and share knowledge with the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

    * A valid Maryland cosmetology and/or barber license.
    * Previous leadership experience in a salon environment.
    * Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
    * Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
    * Knowledge of applicable beauty products sold in the store.
    * Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively.
    * Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
    * Available to work 28-35 hours per week.
    * Proficient in all types of men\'s and boys\' haircuts and textures.

As an Assistant Salon Manager, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations and development of team members (hair stylists) and of our salon as well as assist in creating a positive and welcoming environment for both our clients and our hair stylists team members. The assistant manager’s core responsibilities will include motivating and managing the team to deliver excellent results, providing a championship haircut experience for their clients, and leading stylists to reach their highest potential.
