Sport Clips of Kirkwood is looking for a talented licensed cosmetologist who is ready to grow into salon leadership.

As our Assistant Manager, you will remain active with clients while also helping the Store Manager lead the team, improve daily performance, and maintain a positive, professional salon environment. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys motivating others and wants to build the experience needed to manage a salon in the future.

The Kirkwood salon is owned and operated by Jesse Keyser, a nationally recognized multi-unit salon operator with a long-standing record of developing successful teams and future managers.

What You’ll Help Lead

• Coordinate daily salon activity and support smooth shift operations
• Encourage stylists to provide excellent service and memorable client experiences
• Coach team members on productivity, client retention, and retail sales
• Help new stylists become confident and successful through hands-on training
• Reinforce attendance, cleanliness, and professional standards
• Assist with recruiting and building a fully staffed team
• Respond to client concerns and help find practical solutions
• Support the Store Manager with salon goals and performance initiatives
• Create an upbeat environment where team members feel supported and accountable

What Makes a Great Candidate

We are looking for an experienced stylist who is ready to lead by example.

You should have:

• A valid Missouri Cosmetology license
• Strong technical and client-service skills
• Salon, retail, or team-lead experience
• The ability to communicate expectations clearly and respectfully
• A dependable and professional approach to work
• Confidence handling a fast-paced salon environment
• A desire to grow into greater management responsibility
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends

Formal management experience is preferred but not required for candidates who have demonstrated leadership ability.
